This is the season for golf in Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is located on the Atlantic shoreline in South Carolina approximately thirty miles from the North Carolina and South Carolina border. It is at the center of what is known as the Grand Strand. The courses have wide fairways, and are beautifully landscaped with huge oak trees hung with Spanish moss, giant azaleas, magnolias and are in themselves a step back into time.
There are newer courses to the North most notably in Barefoot Landing. These courses were designed by some of the well-known greats such as Tom Fazio and Greg Norman. These Challenging courses provide a finely tuned edge to the game of golf.

Myrtle Beach is home to many major golf tournaments annually. One is the World Amateur Handicap Championship. The tournament is the world's larges amateur golf tournament with more than 5000 players and played on more than sixty of the area's courses.
Although Myrtle Beach has no public transportation interstate highways and air travel can easily access it. US Airway, Delta/Comer, Delta/ASA, Continental, Spirit Airlines, Air Tran and Pan Am are some of the carriers that fly into the Myrtle Beach Airport from all over the world.
