This is the season for golf in Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is located on the Atlantic shoreline in South Carolina approximately thirty miles from the North Carolina and South Carolina border. Myrtle Beach is home to many major golf tournaments annually. One is the World Amateur Handicap Championship. The tournament is the world's larges amateur golf tournament with more than 5000 players and played on more than sixty of the area's courses.

Although Myrtle Beach has no public transportation interstate highways and air travel can easily access it. US Airway, Delta/Comer, Delta/ASA, Continental, Spirit Airlines, Air Tran and Pan Am are some of the carriers that fly into the Myrtle Beach Airport from all over the world.
